Thank you for making the 2011
AAI Annual Spring Benefit Banquet and Auction a huge hit!
Asian Arts Initiative's Annual Spring 2011 Benefit Banquet
and Auction was a great success this year! With around 300 guests to
support us in our mission, Ocean City Restaurant was bouncing with high
spirits and generosity. The amazing gifts from local businesses,
restaurants, artists, and individuals in the Philadelphia Community
helped to make incredibly tempting auction baskets for our bidders! The
event opened with performances from Saving Thomas, a local Philadelphia
band, and the Philadelphia Suns who starting the banquet off with a
bang with a Lion dance. As our guests enjoyed an 8 course
dinner from Ocean City Restaurant, we were all treated with poems from
Board Member Edward Garcia, and a beautifuL performance from Atma,
UPenn's female South Asian fusion acapella group. After finishing the
delicious and filling dinner, our raffle prize winners were chosen and
our bid winners were announced! Congratulations to our many winners and
thank you to all of our supporters and volunteers!
