Chinatown Live(s) Photo Exhibit
The Asian Arts Initiative is pleased to offer a traveling exhibition of images from Chinatown Live(s). Through the portraits and words of Chinatownˆs residents and workers, this exhibition invites viewers to learn more about Philadelphiaˆs Chinatown, immigrant lives and changing communities.

In the exhibition, twenty-two original portraits that appear in Chinatown Live(s) are each accompanied by excerpts from the bookˆs interviews and three sets of outtakes. Each portrait is 16˜ by 20˜; framed with glass, each is 20˜ by 24˜. Each set of outtakes includes three sequential images and is framed in a 14˜ by 24˜ frame. The exhibition premiered at The
Philadelphia Foundation Community Gallery in December 2004, and has showed at International House and other venues in Philadelphia.
